Destination 6 : Gratitude

To show gratitude that the wedding ceremony has been blessed another ceremony will be held a few days after the wedding. This ceremony is also held to pray for the well-being and safety of the bride and groom in facing the life after marriage. A ceremony similar to khatam Quran will be held to show their gratitude because the journey of the wedding is running smoothly without any major problem. The next day, the newlywed will go to their relatives grave to give respect and asking their soul to bless they family. It is also believed that the soul will help the newlywed in their future. The bride and the groom will clean the grave to ensure the souls is blessing them with their marriage as in Bugis culture it is strongly believed that every aspect of lives and the people is playing a major impact on their lifes. All the ceremonies that has been held until this point is a way for them in asking blessing and safety. 

But nowadays, the newlyweds will go to the grave just to pay respect and in a way for them to connect with their families by spending time together cleaning the place.
